A Ghost, A Werewolf and a Vampire share an apartment (superfr0g) - Prompt #3

"Sooooo. You're looking for a basement apartment?" George Mashuga smiled his oiliest smile, "Are you a couple?"



His black hair was plastered on his head from the heat, and Reginald wasn't sure if George had washed his hair this year, let alone this month.

The smell of the cologne was making Toto gag. Her hackles raised at the question.
"No!" she barked. "Just room mates".

"So you'll be wanting 2 bedrooms then, at least in the beginning." George smirked. Toto wanted to bite him.

Reginald looked at him intently, and George's face lost its smirk.

"How much can you afford, sir and ma'am?" George was abnormally polite. He pulled at his collar to give himself some air.

Reginald smirked. Toto elbowed him in the ribs.

"We'd like your best basement apartment for 1000 simoleons or less." Reginald  replied.

George looked at PC Monitor. Typed in a few keys. And looked again.

"You're in luck." Even with the glamour, George's business sense kicked in. It's near the factory so that lowers it's price. A bit of a fixer-upper, and it has a reputation, but you can have it for 625.

Toto growled - "What's its reputation?"

"Um..." George looked at Reginald. "They say it's haunted."

"And they want 625 for it? What else?" Toto asked, "I'm over here. Answer my question!"

George looked at Toto's chin. "Well, at least 2 of the rooms have no windows at all."

"Good. We'll take it." Reginald replied.

Toto elbowed him again. "You idiot - we need to look at it first. It could be a lot worse than he's saying."

Reginald looked down on her. "For 650? It definitely is. But it has two rooms without windows. And you know what time of month it is."

"Ahhhh.... ok. Point made."

Toto looked at George. "OK. We'll take it."

George printed out the lease.

The lease was signed, the bond and 1st month's rent was paid. The keys handed over.

Toto and Reginald walked out to the bus stop. "What time is it?"

Reginald replied "Too late to get our stuff over there. One more day at the hostel I'd say. Unless you want me to go get it ready?"

"OK. Tomorrow we move in."
