For Farmer Jones, it was the opposite. Dillman's Grove came to John Jones, you know the farmer.
His farm was for a short time an island in the middle of the sea, but a government grant and a re-application of the Goddess Mootilda's Terrain Replacer had his farm placed on prime farm land.
As with all government plans, this one went terribly wrong, and John found that although he remembered falling in love with Bella Goth, a passing sim who had passed a lot more frequently than other passing sims - he didn't have a relationship with her. At All.
Notes: The other women in his relationship panel were created for him to do a 'bachelor' sort of challenge, except that greeting Bella in the toilet with overflowing clogging problems was such a turn-on for them that went from friends to true lurve.
Well, he did. But this IS Dillman's Grove. Strange things happen here! And stranger things happen when Dillman's Grove is moved to you.
So he set out to re-establish relationships. The first was Whoopi Goldberg.
Whoopi and John do not have any chemistry - but they bonded over their love of Criminal Investigations: SimCity.
John: I don't have a TV.
Whoopi: That's OK, you can love it without a TV.
When John let me know he wanted to go 'bird watching' - I thought he meant he was waiting for Bella Goth to walk past. As she does.
I was surprised to find, that what he actually wanted to do - was watch birds.
Being in Dillman's Grove had an unexpected benefit though - all his fruit and vegetables became huge!
John: Must be my talking to them.
John:
John:... or the chemicals being pumped into the water from the factory across the river.
John: That's probably what makes my food sparkle! It's not vampires!
Royalty, even in Dillman's Grove, even when they live with her is a big thing. Here Queen Victoria gets all the attention, even though John is the sim they were all created for. John hopes to supply the Starlight Express Mart with fruit and Veges for the legendary Aisle 1.
Big Hand in the Sky thought she'd put it on pause. She hadn't. When she went away - Bella and John were 50/9. When She came back - Bella and John were best friends for ever, crushed and in love, and Autumn was almost gone.
It seemed only fair that John and Bella should get engaged. After all, they did that all by themselves. Again. Without help or planning from Big Hand in the Sky.
John chose to propose in the dark in case Bella refused. He didn't want her to see him break-down in tears. The only water she should ever see is a blocked toilet.
The wedding won't be for a while - John is an impoverished farmer. He needs to have the money to buy a double bed, a ring, pay for the wedding service and reception, and a formal suit.
In case you're wondering - the one who asks, pays.
What will happen for them tomorrow?
